Host a Personal Audio Conference

This topic applies if your administrator has set you up as the owner of a personal audio conference.

Personal audio conferences are for registered storm users only.

Procedure

1. Ensure that your administrator has provided you with an extension number for dialling into your personal conference.
2. Share the conference extension number and the intended conference start time with the required storm users. One way of doing this is through a group chat (see Chat to Multiple Users in a Group Chat). There is no set limit to the number of users who can join your conference.
3. When you are ready to join the conference, dial the personal conference extension number as if you are making an outgoing call. See Make an Outgoing Call. The users that you have invited must do the same in their DTA agent desktops.

You are now an active participant in the conference. Some or all of the users with whom you shared the conference extension number may already have joined the conference, whilst others will be joining or will join when they are ready.

4. At any time during the conference, click the Broadcast Notification  button to see the number of participants in the conference:

5. To end the conference, click the button and then select Yes in the confirmation dialog.

Note: on ending the conference, any remaining participants are given a 10 second warning that the conference is about to end.

Alternatively, to leave the conference without ending it, click No. The conference continues with the remaining participants and ends when only one participant is left.
